Re: Osama's fake death certificate |
I think you intended a clever insult, but it doesn't quite work. You seem to think I inadvertently included myself in "stupid," but what I said was that GWB is stupid. Last time I checked, I'm not GWB. Does it all make sense to you now or shall I explain it more simply?

Re: Osama's fake death certificate |
No, you really didn't "include" me in anything, and the word "stupid" does not "encompass more than I intend," but you seem to have trouble following your own posts, let alone other people's.
George Bush had 8 years to get Osama; it didn't work out for him. Remember his expression on 9/11, looking up from the children's book he was having trouble reading to some school children that morning? That's pretty much how it was for 8 years. Took the next guy to put the pieces together and come up with a plan. Years of torturing detainees won't help if you can't even understand the information the detainees are giving you. That's the sad story of the Bush years.

Re: Mission accomplished |
Yes! exactly :)
Like I said, I truly do not love everything Obama has done. But I'm not above enjoying the past few days in this regard. I thought releasing the birth certificate was a mistake, at the time - thought he shouldn't stoop to the level of the idiots chanting Give Us a Birth Certificate. But, in the context of the events of the next few days, the decision to release it makes more sense. It was a sort of double-barreled statement over the course of several days, "You want my birth certificate? Oh, okay, silly but here you go. Maybe you'd like my mummy's Baby Book also, and a lock of my hair? Oh, and I've just killed Osama bin Laden. You were busy making asses of yourselves poring over the records of some hospital in Hawaii from the 1960s, while I pored over intelligence reports from Pakistan, nailing bin Laden."
Hello 2012.

Re: Mission accomplished |
Bush would have kept the body on ice until 2012, and then released the news in late October.

Yeah, what the heck? Bipartisan pleasantness? Adult behavior? Don't worry, it won't last.
